Everything was going well for me in my life (except for the extreme weather of Delhi ;)). A good job, good money and a very loving family.
As bachelors, five of us were sharing a rented house in Noida. Some discussion cropped up regarding one of roomies named Karthik Shekhar that he is into some Baba or swami thing. Thinking of myself as a good Samaritan and having brought up in a communist family, I was prompt to warn him, “Bro, these are all fraud guys minting money, so, watch out!” Karthik looked at me and responded with a big smile.
Few weeks later, Karthik suggested a personality development program to me. He told me how this program will help me become more confident and help me adapt better to various situations in my life. The name of this personality development program was, “Inner Engineering”. Anything to hone my life skills, I am interested! So I registered myself for this program.
First day into the class and I realized that this was a yoga program! I thought to myself, “smart ass! He tricked me into it”. If I had known that this was a yoga program, come what may! I would have never registered for it. But, since I was already there, so I decided to just go through the program.
This program made me look at life in a completely different way and a powerful ancient yogic practice called Shambhavi Mahmudra was taught. The pro-life logics offered in the program were impeccable and impressive.
I started practicing Shambhavi Mahamudra daily and to my surprise, it was infusing me with different levels of energy and my sleep quota came down. Another thing I noticed is that while playing badminton, my eye hand coordination drastically went up.
After the practice of Shambhavi Mahamudra, tears of joy would simply flow without any reason. I started feeling this joy and love throughout the day. I started falling in love with every piece of creation. I started responding to tense and difficult situations with utmost ease within myself. My relationships with my friends and family started becoming beautiful because now, it was more about expression of happiness and not about deriving my happiness from someone else.
This Inner Engineering gave the key to my joy, in my hand. Before Inner Engineering, my life was like a black and white TV. After Inner Engineering, it became like a colored TV. Externally nothing had changed, but internally the quality of life had changed in a big way.
Now, when people come to warn me with their rightly placed concern and skepticism in today’s time, I respond with a huge smile :)
So, people usually ask me this question, “If I go through Inner Engineering, do I have to follow Sadhguru?” It is just like asking, “To use Microsoft windows, do I have to follow Bill Gates?!” Obviously, to use Windows, you don’t have to fall at Bill Gates' feet!
Similarly, Inner Engineering program has been designed by Sadhguru as a tool for self-empowermen
So friends, don’t wait to be tricked into Inner Engineering. In my experience, it has been worth, more than a shot! So, check it out and see if it works for you!
This program doesn’t need any lifestyle or belief system changes.
